Teams Are Starting To Take Shape

TORONTO. - As training camps are coming to an end, and the pre-season has but one week left in it, teams are looking more and more ready for the new NLL season. As witnessed this past weekend in a couple of games I was able to attend, the passing was much crisper, the defenses a little stingier, and the offenses much more creative with their plays, scoring with precision. There was also more use of transition plays, keeping their opponents defenses guessing most of the game.

TORONTO. - For lacrosse fans, hearing there was going to be a season in 2021-2022 was music to their ears. Seeing players tweet, text, and actually arrive at training camp was a sight for their sore eyes. But to actually attend an NLL game (albeit pre-season) had fans in absolute euphoria this past weekend.

The National Lacrosse League Makes History

TORONTO. - Last week the National Lacrosse League (NLL) made news with a historic multi-year signing with ESPN for broadcasting rights to all of it's games. In a press release the NLL stated that every game of every year of the agreement will be on one of ESPN's broadcast or streaming platforms.

The CFL home stretch and who will be under centre?

TORONTO. - The CFL Season is officially in the home stretch, starting this past week Winnipeg punched their ticket to the playoffs, the first team to do so. Saturday afternoon’s Montreal in Toronto has 1st place alone implications complete with a ticket to the playoffs joining the Blue Bombers. Teams on the other end of the scale are making or will make changes. Edmonton has traded Trevor Harris to Montreal and traded for Nick Arbuckle from the Argos.
