SAN DIEGO -- The Dodgers and Padres have produced some of the most memorable games of the 2021 season. Wednesday night’s 5-3 Dodgers win at Petco Park topped them all, jam-packing every situation into a 16-inning, five-hour rollercoaster.

Argos win home opener behind Arbuckle Magic

TORONTO. - Toronto Argonauts were back at BMO Field in Toronto led by Nick Arrrrrbuckle for the opening home game of the 2021 Season. It was Arbuckle’s first start for the Argos winning 30 to 23 over the visiting Bombers. Last week the Argos did not look ready for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, defence offense or even special teams. This week was another story with the Argos even though they had to cover for multiple injuries. Arbuckle was 23 of 32 passes completed for 310 yards. The Argo defense was close to throwing a no hitter.

NYCFC Has Two Goals Overturned, Ousted From Leagues Cup in Shootout

New York. - When I first gathered my thoughts on what to write for this article I had a ton of ideas running through my head. The excitement of PUMAS fans traveling from Mexico, LA, Houston and all over. Admitted Dodger fans and Astros fans putting their mutual contempt aside for a night to root for their favorite soccer team. That's the first thing I saw when I got to the stadium. This match got me hyped to true soccer energy of obsessed fans outside the states. I feed off that big time, and I was pumped!

NYCFC: The Tie That Felt Like A Loss

New York. - Tonight we saw a tale of two halves with the Gents In Blue. A first half that started out as well as could be asked for by jumping out to an immediate 2 goal advantage. First there was Santiago Rodriguez in his first ever start making his presence known by scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Then there was Izzy Tajouri-Shradi with his 7th of the year at the 21st minute, tying him with Medina for the team lead. By the end of the first half it went about as well as could be expected. Then the wheels promptly fell off to start the second half which is where I want to focus my attention; because it's not the points you gain, but the points you DON'T that make a greater difference.

NYCFC Scoring Struggles Outside The Bronx Continue; Tie Chicago 0-0.

New York. - In covering this team, there is a stark difference in the offensive output for the Gents In Blue at Yankee Stadium versus literally anywhere else on the planet. By comparison, NYCFC has scored 15 goals in four matches at Yankee Stadium compared to 15 goals in 12 matches elsewhere, including at “home” at Red Bull arena. While I think it bodes well for the future with the increased matches they have upcoming at Yankee Stadium, this is an issue I’ve addressed previously and one that will absolutely burn them if and when they have to take the playoffs on the road.

NYCFC Jumps 3 Spots To 3rd In East With Big Win Against Columbus

New York. - This article is going out to every team in major league soccer not called NYCFC: Be afraid, be very afraid. After an up and down season the Gents in Blue have found their stride, finally turning their barrage of shots on net into goals. With last night's 4-1 dismantling of visiting Columbus in front of the Yankee Stadium crowd, this is a team that is showing results from that effort. And the rest of the league no doubt is taking notice.

5 Goals By 5 Players – NYCFC With A Huge Win

New York. - One of the advantages I have working and writing for Spanglish Sports World is we're allowed a little more leeway with regards to our personalities when writing these articles. So as a fan of NYCFC and covering the team, yes I have a hometown favoritism. I admit it. So tonight's match against Orlando made me, a fan, happy. 5 goals by 5 players and an obscene 15 to 3 ratio of shots on target made this easily the most one sided match this team has had this year. From minute one this was a match going NY's way. Orlando was all over the place; burning a ton of energy that would serve to burn them as the match went on. It took 40 minutes for the first goal to get scored; a left footed rocket off the foot of Jesus Medina for his team leading 7th of the season and almost equally important, NOT giving up a tying goal going into the half. That's been an issue with this team in the past; allowing your opponents to carry momentum into the second half with a late tying goal.
