The Significance Of The Ontario Junior A Whirlwind season

TORONTO. - Let's begin this editorial by congratulating the St. Catharines Athletics for winning the 2021 OJLL Championship last weekend 14-13 over an equally deserving team in the Brampton Excelsiors. The entire tournament/season was run absolutely flawlessly from controlling who watched, to the concession stands, to having top notch competition, to having fantastic media/video coverage of all 44 games.

Junior "A" Lacrosse is finally starting up again

TORONTO. - For the first time since the Orangeville Northmen won the Minto Cup in the summer of 2019, the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League (OJALL) is playing League games again this weekend. With the stringent lockdowns Ontarians have endured, this day seemed to be too far out of reach, but lo and behold, the government has allowed indoor games to take place under Covid-19 protocols.

TORONTO. - Since the inception of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) it has continued to move forward both on and off the field, for players and for fans alike. The league was founded by pro lacrosse player Paul Rabil and his brother Mike. TORONTO. - Here it is finally... the Stanley Cup Final. It has the defending Champs up against the reigning Chumps. Relax, Hab Fans, the fact is Montréal was the lowest playoff qualifying team this year and a play on words is always a writers right. Montréal can go from worst to first, not a bad motivation, and not a rare occurrence in the NHL playoffs. When the NHL Officials tuck the whistles in their pocket the talent gap becomes more and more irrelevant.
