 General Description of Class: 

Under general supervision performs heavy cleaning and custodial duties, moves and sets up furniture and equipment on a routine basis and for special events.

Typical Duties: 

The following illustrative tasks indicate the level of skill required, and the extent of responsibility involved in this job. They in no way limit the incumbent to the tasks indicated.

a) cleans and scrubs floors and washrooms using appropriate equipment including automatic floor cleaning machines, electric buffers, mops and vacuum cleaners;

b) performs cleaning and dusting at elevated heights, using ladder and lifting devices as required;

c) sets up cleaning equipment for use; maintains cleaning equipment;

d) reconditions floors, repairs and cleans grout, using appropriate equipment;

e) performs routine and special room set ups which entails: following work orders, room diagrams and verbal instructions; moving and setting up of furniture and equipment according to plan and schedule; opens and locks doors to assigned rooms; may assist in setting out academic examination booklets;

f) clears furniture and equipment as requested and stores in appropriate areas;

g) disassembles/reassembles furniture for the purpose of moving;

h) performs maintenance functions such as changing lights and adjustments to furniture and equipment;

i) other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

Education:  Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent; technical training is desirable. Experience: One year of related work experience, education may be substituted for experience. Cineplex Entertainment, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is currently recruiting for the position of Bartender – The Rec Room Roundhouse, reporting to the General Manager. This position will be based at our Toronto Rec Room located at 255 Bremner Blvd. in Toronto, ON.  

The Bartender prepares alcoholic drinks for patrons of restaurants, bars, cocktail lounges, and other places where drinks are served. The bartender's main job is to know the standard drink recipes and be able to mix them quickly and accurately. Guests may have their own preferences or recipes for the bartender to follow. Bartenders also check the identification of guests to ensure that they meet the minimum drinking age. Bartenders take drink orders, serve drinks, and collect money for drinks. Bartenders fill drink orders placed by waitresses for guests to be served. They arrange bottles and barware, washes glasses, and cleans the bar. The Bartenders also removes empty bottles and trash and replaces empty beer kegs. Bartenders stock the bar by bringing liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the bar. They keep track of wines, beers, liquors, and other supplies, and ordering bar supplies.

Job Duties

Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

Wash glassware and utensils after each use.

Pour wine and beer.

Collect payment and operate POS.

Serve food to guests seated at the bar.

Check identification of guests to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
