Carla Suarez Navarro gives Venus Williams an early ticket home at Rogers Cup

TORONTO. - Venus Williams has taken an early exit from the Rogers cup courtesy of the Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro.
 
The 39-year-old American lost 6-4, 6-2 to Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro in the first match on centre court at the Aviva Centre on Tuesday.
 
The match felt like the ones the legendary Arantxa Sánchez Vicario used to execute at centre court in the 90's.
 
Suarez Navarro snapped a five-match losing streak against Williams.
 
Williams has now lost four matches in a row including a first rounder at Wimbledon.
 
Suarez Navarro will face No. 16 seed Anett Kontaveit of Estonia in the second round. Kontaveit beat Maria Sharapova on Monday.
 
Also Tuesday, former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka won in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 over Camila Giorgi.
 
Top Canadian Bianca Andreescu of Mississauga, Ont., was scheduled to face Eugenie Bouchard of Westmount, Que., in a first-round match on Tuesday night.
