MLS (Major League Soccer) y su evolución desde 1968 hasta la actualidad

TORONTO. - Hace 21 años (17 de Diciembre de 1993 ) inició la MLS como una idea de unos cuantos y con 10 equipos de manera oficial divididos en dos conferencias. La Conferencia Oeste estaba conformada por (Colorado Rapids, Dallas Burn, Kansas City Wiz, Los Angeles Galaxy y San Jose Clash) Por la Conferencia Este se encontraban (Columbus Crew, D.C United, New England Revolution, New York /New Jersey Metro Stars y Tampa Bay Mutiny). Esto fue una promesa hecha por la Federación de Futbol de Estados Unidos, de establecer una liga profesional de primer nivel a cambio de la concesión del Mundial de 1994.

Canada Soccer announces 2020 Canadian Championship is postponed

TORONTO. – Canada Soccer have confirmed that Toronto FC will be the Canadian representative in the 2021 Concacaf Champions League with an agreement reached by Canada Soccer and both Forge FC and Toronto FC that every effort will be made to hold the Canadian Championship at a later date pending league schedules and in accordance with all public health and safety measures. Forge FC is still not able to return to full training and as such the agreement reached will see Toronto FC face Club León at Estadio León on Wednesday 7 April in the first leg of the Concacaf Champions League Round of 16.

Conmebol fija fechas de retorno para las Copas Libertadores y Sudamericana

Toronto. – El 15 de Septiembre y el 27 de Octubre han sido fijadas como las fechas de arranque de las Copas Libertadores y la Sudamericana. La CONMEBOL afirmo que todos los equipos participantes deberán cumplir con las nuevas normativas adjudicadas por el consejo en el documento de protocolos y operaciones de 62 páginas.
