New York. - The Gents in Blue win in come from behind fashion on a Taty Castellanos penalty kick as New York wins their first road game since May 29; a stretch where they went a painful 0-5-2. Cincinnati's start couldn't have asked for a much start than they received, with Forward Brenner getting the scoring going in just the 4th minute after New York defender Maxime Chanot mishandled a clear leaving the ball free in front of goal tender Sean Johnson. The score would stay that way until the 37th minute when Keaton Parks would pick up his 4th goal of the season, taking a cross pass from Gudmundur Tharinsson and knocking it in with a perfectly placed header.

New York. - The Gents in Blue struggled offensively once again at any stadium not called Yankee Stadium as they fell to their Eastern Division rivals the Philadelphia Union by the score of 1-0. It was a huge night for Philly's Alexander Bedoya; scoring his first goal of the season on a header at the 67th minute that proved to be the difference maker and moving the Union into a points tie with NY (albeit with one more match played) on the season. Frankly it was a fantastic bang bang 1 timer from Kai Wagner to Bedoya but it was also a clear miss by Defender Malte Amundsen who was completely unaware that Bedoya was coming up alongside him and knew his mistake immediately based on the reaction.

New York. - When I first gathered my thoughts on what to write for this article I had a ton of ideas running through my head. The excitement of PUMAS fans traveling from Mexico, LA, Houston and all over. Admitted Dodger fans and Astros fans putting their mutual contempt aside for a night to root for their favorite soccer team. That's the first thing I saw when I got to the stadium. This match got me hyped to true soccer energy of obsessed fans outside the states. I feed off that big time, and I was pumped!

New York. - Tonight we saw a tale of two halves with the Gents In Blue. A first half that started out as well as could be asked for by jumping out to an immediate 2 goal advantage. First there was Santiago Rodriguez in his first ever start making his presence known by scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Then there was Izzy Tajouri-Shradi with his 7th of the year at the 21st minute, tying him with Medina for the team lead. By the end of the first half it went about as well as could be expected. Then the wheels promptly fell off to start the second half which is where I want to focus my attention; because it's not the points you gain, but the points you DON'T that make a greater difference.
