All TTC riders to have network coverage in less than a month under ISED’s new license conditions

TORONTO. – Innovation minister François-Philippe Champagne today announced new license conditions that mandates Rogers to immediately share access to its infrastructure and technical information with Bell, Telus and Freedom so that they can work together to provide wireless service to all Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) riders on the existing network by Oct. 3.

Casino giant Caesars confirms data breach

Las Vegas. - Caesars Entertainment (CZR.O) on Thursday confirmed a data breach that led to a leak of information, including details from its loyalty program database. The company said hackers accessed details, including driver's license numbers and possibly social security numbers, for a "significant number of members in the database".

Bill C-18 could see Google, Meta pays 4 per cent of their Canadian search revenue to the news

TORONTO. – For the first time, the government has outlined draft regulations intended to establish specific criteria for the implementation of Bill C-18, which til now has been marred with uncertainties. As part of the proposed regulations, the government created a formula that would see Meta and Google cough up four per cent of their annual Canadian search revenue to Canadian news media.

Sports media joins Morocco in mourning victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Marrakech

LAUSANNE. - A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck the High Atlas range near Marrakech, on Friday night, 8 September 2023, resulting in a death toll surpassing 2,400 and leaving thousands injured. According to the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), more than 300,000 people in Marrakesh and its outskirts have been affected by the powerful earthquake, and sports events were halted as the country went in mourning.

The Transition of the Transition Game

TORONTO. - One of the things that excited me when watching lacrosse as a child was never knowing who, or how, a goal was going to be scored. Were the star offensive players going to dive and score? Was the one with the howitzer for a shot going to blast one top cheese (into the top corner of the net)? Maybe a defensive player with speed would play the transition game and outrun his opponents, beating the goalie with a surprise shot? The game was already exciting, just by the sheer speed, skill, and toughness of the players, but that added unknown made this my passion to watch and to play.
