Concierge

The primary function of an Air Canada Concierge is to ease the way for our premium customers throughout their entire airport experience.

This role includes all premium customer touch points

The position is modeled after concierge service found in 5 star hotels.

The position is a busy one with duties that vary from day to day depending on the diverse requirements of our top tier premium customers.

A Concierge is always helpful, always follows through with a request and always has the right attitude. The Concierge creates a sense of comfort and recognition for our premium customers with a simple philosophy – “If it’s possible, consider it done”.

Key Concierge Activities

Identify and review Top Tier/International Business Class reservations in advance of flight departure and/or arrival to ensure that all special service requests have been actioned.

Ensure system wide “personal service” follow-up through communication with the worldwide network of Air Canada Concierges.

Greet and assist all high value/high profile customers.

Offer assistance for any special needs.

Monitor connections and proactively initiate re-bookings as required.

Work closely with Super Elite reservations desk and Customer Relations to facilitate Super Elite customer needs and to resolve service failures.

Maintain and update Concierge library of reference material and daily log.

Develop a network of contacts and resources that can provide assistance in accommodating the diverse requests of our top tier customers.

Offer the highest level of customer service at the Concierge desk by assisting with any inquires our members may have including day of travel requests such as check-in, upgrades, connection assistance, re-booking, lost items, or local information.

Hourly rate of $14.00/hr

Qualifications

Technical:

Knowledge and experience as an Airport Customer Sales and Service Agent would be considered an asset.

Superior knowledge of airline service information and airport procedures would be considered an asset.

Strong knowledge of local city attractions, events, hotels, restaurants and services.

Ticketing experience would be considered an asset.

Behavioral:

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong desire to consistently exceed customer expectations while providing personalized service.

Proactive, take charge attitude in resolving problems with creative solutions.

Good sense of judgment in balancing customer interests with company policy.

Possess a valid provincial driver's license (G2) and a valid Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP)

LINGUISTIC REQUIREMENTS

This position requires linguistic fluency. Priority will be given to candidates completely fluent in English and French.

VIP Part Time Food & Beverage Staff - Cineplex Cinemas Queensway

VIP Food and Beverage Staff 

With VIP Cinemas, guests enjoy a premium entertainment experience available exclusively in Canada at Cineplex Entertainment theatres.  They feature specially designed auditoriums exclusively for adult guests, in-seat menu service, a licensed lounge and a dedicated box office.  VIP auditoriums feature reserved seating, enabling guests to select their specific seat at the time of purchase. A VIP auditorium also features full stadium seating, with larger, upgraded seats with table tops embedded in their armrest.  Once seated, a Cast Member will present the guest with a menu and take their order.   Ordered items will be delivered directly to the guest at their seat.  Guests can also enjoy a licensed lounge before and after a movie. 

VIP FOOD AND BEVERAGE STAFF primary responsibilities are to welcome, run orders to our guests and to provide a clean and safe entertainment environment. There is growth potential from this role into a serving role within VIP (advancement is based on performance).

Job Summary

Prepares, presents and serves meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.

Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.

Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.

Job Description

Reporting to the Team lead, Foreperson, Coordinator and or Supervisor on duty, keep parks, open spaces, and outdoor amenities safe, clean and accessible. Ensure the safe operation of small and large equipment and vehicles and ensure compliance to all park rules and regulations, creating an enjoyable experience for all visitors.

• Assist with general turf maintenance – i.e. fertilizing, mowing, trimming, seeding, watering.

• Assist with gardening – i.e. soil management, maintain and plant flowerbeds/displays.

• Assist with tree and shrub care – i.e. pruning, fertilizing, planting and staking.

• Perform garbage collection, litter picking and maintenance of amenities.

• Report all concerns, accidents and incidents to immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action.

• Clean and disinfect public washrooms.

• Set up/take down for special events and permit holders.

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, care of tools and equipment.

• Perform parking control duties; maintain and direct traffic flow.

• Monitor park patrons to ensure compliance with park rules and regulations, that park security is maintained and rental contracts are adhered to.

• Communicate courteously with the general public and where necessary refer them to appropriate supervisor

• Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards for all participants and staff.
