Sunday was filled with an action-packed lineup. The festivities kicked off as the Houston Texans hosted
the Jacksonville Jaguars. With a close scoring 13-12 final, the Texans claimed their first victory of the
season. With 36 seconds left in the game, the Jags failed to convert on a two-point attempt by Leonard
Fournette.

The Arizona Cardinals took on the Baltimore Ravens in the battle of the birds. For the second week in a
row, the Cards failed to capitalize on their opportunities in the first three quarters, with their first
touchdown coming in at 12:54 in the final quarter. Lamar Jackson continued to silence the sceptics, by
proving he is more than just a running back. Baltimore jumped to 2-0 on the season, while Arizona fell to
0-1-1.

Pyrotechnics wasn’t the only thing the Tennessee Titans had trouble with on Sunday, dropping their
week two game 19-17 to the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans defence was less than impressive, allowing
quarterback Marcus Marietta to be sacked four times.

Jimmy Garoppolo led the way for the San Francisco 49ers, in their convincing 41-17 win over the
Cincinnati Bengals. Jimmy G.Q threw for 297 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Once again, the Miami Dolphins failed to show up to their game on Sunday losing 43-0 to the New
England Patriots in a real nail biter.

All eyes were on the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams, in a rematch of the 2018 NFC finals. You
can be sure all refs were on their toes for this one. It was déjà vu for the Saints, as the Rams beat them
by a comfortable 27-9. Other than losing the game, Saints also lost star quarterback Drew Bree’s to a
thumb injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their most valuable player, Ben Roethlisberger, who did not return to the
field in the second half against the Seattle Seahawks. He will be out indefinitely due to an elbow injury.
On a brighter note, back up quarterback, Mason Rudolph, didn’t miss a beat and almost led the Steelers
to a thrilling comeback. Pete Carroll secures a win as a gift from the team, on his 68th birthday.

Julio Jones proved why he is the top paid wide receiver in the league. He led the Atlanta Falcons to a 24-
20 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones scored a 54-yard game winning touch down to seal the
deal, for Atlanta.

Other games to note:

Detroit Lions 13 LA Chargers 10
Buffalo Bills 28 New York Giants 14
Dallas Cowboys 31 Washington Redskins 21
Kansas City Chiefs 28 Oakland Raiders 10
Chicago Bears 16 Denver Broncos 14

With week two now a distant memory, we look forward to week three of the NFL season.
